Our collection of seeds includes 6 levels of healthy seeds.
Poppy seed (35g): Poppy seeds are harvested from opium poppy. Although the plant has long been cultivated for opium, it has also been grown specifically for its seeds since the Bronze Age. In Middle Eastern cuisine, the seeds are used to enhance the flavor of yeast breads and to make a paste to fill pastries. Poppy seeds contain very little opiate derivatives, largely due to the fact that the best quality seeds are obtained from dried, mature seed pods instead of unripe green pods. Be aware, however, that the rumor about poppy seeds is true—consuming a quantity of seeds shortly before taking a drug screening test can cause false-positive results.
Pumpkin seed (40g): Like nuts, pumpkin seeds are a great source of protein and unsaturated fats, including omega-3. They also contain a good range of nutrients including iron, selenium, calcium, B vitamins and beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A.
Nigella seed (30g): also known as Charnushka, black caraway, black onion seed, and kalonji. You will find it on Middle Eastern breads and crackers and sprinkled on Indian and Bengali vegetable dishes. These tiny seeds add a gentle, earthy flavor that falls somewhere between cumin and thyme.
Sesame seed (35g): These gorgeous White Sesame Seeds add flavor and drama to dishes across the globe. Find it in the sesame sauces served at dim sum, in the sweet delicacy of jian dui, and in Western desserts like ice cream and financiers. These white seeds are useful in crusts and for dressing dishes. Also available in Toasted Sesame Seeds, or Black Sesame Seeds
Flax seed (35g): These gorgeous brown seeds can be added to water and drinking it as part of your daily fluid intake. Drizzling flaxseed oil as a dressing on salad. Sprinkling ground flax seeds over your hot or cold breakfast cereal. Mixing them into your favorite yogurt. Adding them into cookie, muffin, bread or other batters
Sunflower seed (40g): Peeled and non salted seeds can be added to your salads or your dressings..
